Katheryn Foxx
Katheryn Foxx, has been entertaining Iowans at 96.5 for nearly 21 years. After graduating with a BA in Communications and Business at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and working at several radio stations in Wisconsin, Katheryn relocated to Iowa and made it her home. Katheryn is very connected to the community and works with many charities. A big Hawkeye Fan, Katheryn is the host for the Hawkeye Bumper Brigade Tailgates on WMT-AM.
Katheryn’s favorite activities and achievements include working for the Especially for You Race against Breast Cancer for 20 years, the annual JDRF Walk, Clear Channel Call for Kids with Cancer and Dance Marathon, First Place Winner for the Iowa Celebrities Dancing with the Stars and playing her fiddle at station events including twin fiddling with Charlie Daniels. Katheryn has won several Addy Awards and was nominated as Medium Market Personality of the Year.
Off the air, Katheryn enjoys golfing, poker, running, dancing, reading, the Hawkeyes and Green Bay Packers, fiddlin' with local bands and being soccer, football, wrestling, track and dance mom to her kids.
Andy Petersen
Andy Petersen is an award-winning host and journalist who has filled about every role imaginable (except sales - he says if he had to sell for a living he would starve) here at our radio stations. Andy grew up listening to our sister station, AM 600 WMT, as he was born and raised on a farm in Wyoming, Iowa. He graduated from Midland High School in 2001 after being heavily involved in Sports, Band, Chorus, Speech and FFA. Andy started at WMT that summer as an intern in the Farm Department in the summer of 2001.
While working part-time here, he attended and graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a Media Degree, and the University of Iowa with a Communication Studies Degree. As a Junior at Iowa he started covering the Hawkeye football team and became a part of the Hawkeye Football broadcasts, co-hosting the Hawkeye Huddle. After college, Andy garnered a full-time position with WMT hosting the Evening Edition, then he moved to What's Happening before taking over the Morning Show from 2006-2011. Now, Andy gets your day started with the best country music and entertainment on Kiss from 6-10 am. Andy has won numerous awards, including Best Anchor from the Iowa Broadcast News Association. He has also been honored with the 40 Under 40 award from the Corridor Business Journal, which is awarded to the 40 most successful and influential people under the age of 40 in the Corridor. Off the air, Andy is also a highly respected high school basketball official, and helps his Dad on the farm. In his free time, he enjoys playing cards and sports, and of course rooting for his Hawks and St. Louis Cardinals!
